‘Bombay Dost’ is back after a 7 year hiatus

India’s first Gay Mag - BOMBAY DOST, is back on the stands after a gap of 7 years…

… 3M wonders as to what is Shiv Sena’s reaction to this… the publishers are using the word “Bombay”… and it’s about homosexuality… 2 things that SS is allergic to… Probably the saffron brigade can counter it with a “Mumbai Mitra” with hetrosexual content!

BOMBAY DOST is the registered name of the publication. Just like the name of the premier educational institution, Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay is the name. Or, like the Bombay Stock Exchnage (rember, it is BSE Sensex, not MSE Sensex!)The various Senas or even the 3M need not take offence.

Accepted...

Let's look at an alternate scenario... name of one of these institutes would have "hurt the sentiments of a minority community"... 3M is sure that govt would have swung into action to get it changed overnight!

Hypothetical... but distinctly possible...

On the other hand Sid Sanghavi (The new kid on the writer's block) says that for him "Mumbai" means regressive... such attitude irritates me... will write a separate post on the same!
