As disproportionate assets tumble out of Kripashankar Singh's closet, 3M wonders would he have faced this music if he had won the BMC elections?

As usual Satish Acharya comes with a cartoon that is the final word after elections!

MNS campaign

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena television campaign for the forthcoming BMC elections is focused and impactful as compared the singsong campaigns of Shiv Sena and NCP-Congress... But is marred by cheap graphics. Also 3M feels that a voice over (preferably of Raj Thackeray's) that repeats what is written would have created stronger impact!

Kripashankar Singh’s spin!

After making statements like “हिंदी माझी आई... मराठी माझी मावशी!” on Marathi TV channels, Kripashankar Singh (the Mumbai Congress Chief) suddenly joined the “North Indians can bring Mumbai to standstill” bandwagon which was started by Sanjay Nirupam earlier... leading to fireworks by T-company!

Now a DNA report claims that he is now trying to appease the Marathi Manoos by trying to emphasise on the ‘sons of the soil’ agenda. So is he building bridges with Marathi voters? Please look closer to his definition of “Sons of the soil” – Bhandaris, Kolis, Agris & Christians... This means Marathi speaking people who do not belong to these castes are “outsiders”!

Mr. Singh... Don’t be under the illusion that 3M can’t see your ulterior motives!

Definition of Congress!

The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic collective nouns for the various groups of animals.

We are all familiar with a Herd of cows, a Flock of chickens, a School of fish and a Gaggle of geese.

However, less widely known is a Pride of lions, a Murder of crows (as well as their cousins the rooks and ravens), an Exaltation of doves and, presumably, because they look so wise, a Parliament of owls.

Now consider a gathering of Baboons. They are the loudest, most dangerous, most obnoxious, most viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all primates.

And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?

Believe it or not ....... a Congress!

I guess that pretty much explains the things that come out of our present government led by a party by that name, which has ruled our country for most of the 64 years since the British left us in their hands!

Letter to Indian Express Editor

As expected after a Mumbai terror attack, English media has started the ‘Separate Mumbai from Maharashtra’ campaign. Your Editorial as well as Shekhar Gupta’s column today emphasised on the same! You have briefly explained the problem with reference to MMRDA but not completely. The problem lies in the fact that Congress (I) has not accepted the fact that Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra! After 51 years of creation of the state, they still have 2 independent bodies - a ‘Mumbai Regional Committee’ headed by Mr. Kripashankar Singh and a ‘Maharashtra Pradesh Committee’ by Mr. Manikrao Thakre. This is the only state in India that has two Congress committees. The former has 36 assembly seats under its jurisdiction while the later has 252 assembly seats. You don’t have be a rocket scientist to realise that the CM will always be from the Maharashtra Pradesh Committee. So how will he take care of the region in the hands of the rival committee?

Future PM of India?????????????????????

"It is very difficult to stop every single terror attack in the country. Terrorism is something that is impossible to stop all the time. But 99 per cent of terror attacks had been stopped due to strong vigilance and intelligence efforts.....

....We have improved by leaps and bounds. But we have to work and defeat 100 per cent of attacks. The idea is to fight terrorism at the local level."

KDMC Results

If you look at the actual votes polled in the KDMC elections you can clearly see the direction in which the wind is blowing!

'Prince Charming'

After making some immature comments (or probably carefully planned ones) in Bihar, the congress Yuvaraj takes a local train ride in Mumbai… a great PR stunt! This has certainly taken the winds out of Sena's sail...
Hope Rahul makes the right noises in Maharashtra or else he will push the Marathi Manoos further in the Sena Camp.

‘Losing a city’

If T N Ninan is to be believed, Thackerays are the root cause of all the ills that plague our beloved city… but if they were partners in power at centre as well as state for only 5 years, how can they responsible for ‘losing the city’? Ninan’s next logical argument will be ‘Statehood for Bombay’ like his other friends in the past… 1, 2, 3

If someone has to be really blamed... it is the Congress party! Even after 50 years of ‘creation of Maharashtra’, Congress runs away from the reality. Hence we have two Pradesh Congress Committees in the state… one for Mumbai and another one for rest of the state. And this arrangement exists only for our state… there is nothing like one committee for Bangalore and one for Rest of Karnataka! Our CM is usually from the ‘rest of Maharashtra’ and hence does not strive to do anything for the region governed by the ‘other committee’.

.

Mr. Ninan... you are barking up the wrong tree!

MNS’s 'tirangi' votes are worrying Congress

Years back, Mayawati popularised the term 'Social Reengineering' when she brought together Dalit and Brahmin votes… Now Raj Thackeray’s ‘Tirangi strategy’ of getting Green (Muslim) and Blue (Dalit) votes in addition to the Saffron votes is giving Congressmen in Maharashtra sleepless nights!

The Nephew Nexus

Thackeray Sr. is irritated that Sharad Pawar has 'nurtured' his nephew Raj to cut Shiv Sena down to size… So now he has a chance to give Pawar a taste of his own medicine!

Or is it part of Pawar's own grand plan to blackmail Sonia Gandhi before the Maharashtra Government is formed?
