Chagan Bhujbal, Public Works Minister in Maharashtra govt, seems to be warming up to Shiv Sena… after 17 years of anti-Thackeray tirade, he suddenly withdrew the defamation case against Balasaheb in view of the later’s old age. This is seen as a part of Uddhav’s strategy of building strength in run up to the elections next year
Bhujbal, an OBC leader, is credited for taking Shiv Sena beyond the isle of Mumbai to the hinterlands of Maharashtra in the late 80s. He currently seems to be sidelined in NCP due to the Maratha Reservation Issue.
3M smiles – Thackeray Sr. does not seem to be welcoming Bhujbal into the Shiv Sena without an apology.
A blog that captures the happenings in Maharashtra and rest of the Marathi World (Bruhanmaharashtra) through the eyes of a 3M – Madhyamvargiya Marathi Manoos (Middleclass Marathi Man). Neither is it a view of the anglicized minority which has lost touch with its roots... nor does it speak for the Marathi masses who may lack the “worldview”. Just a somewhere-in-between viewpoint… but a firm viewpoint indeed!
