Rajput in support of Vidarbha widows

Tulsising Rajput, owner of many Mumbai malls, is going to support widows of farmers who have commited suicide in Vidarbha... looks like an altruistic venture till you come to the line "he would enlist the support of north Indians and non-Marathi speaking communities"... why not Marathi manoos?

It is obvious to 3M that the intention is not to help the widows but to project Marathi ruling class as ineffective!

i think u are reading too much into it......enlisting non maharashtrian communities does not imply excluding marathi manoos if the report is to be taken on face value...maybe its an effort to project the detested north indian community in good light......nothing wrong in that........

secondly if u are referring to the government as marathi ruling class...then i must say it has failed on many accounts especially related to vidarbha....

i have read a lot of good things about Kishor tiwari who is been working at the grass roots level of this crisis since many years.....

on a sidenote....Dont u think that the ruling class has been ineffective....?

I am not reading too much into it... it is evident the guy is creating political space for himself by projecting himself in front of the PM...

If the aim is to project the community in good light then bridge building activities should take place... from both sides

Targeting Marathi political class is actually a part of making a case for separate Mumbai State... something that is the unwritten mission of Mumbai Congress!

I totally agree that Maharashtra has not seen good leadership for a long time and hence the condition...

Vidarbha suicides is an issue that people have not understood... it is happening in neighbouring AP & Karnataka too... actually the govt compensation fuels suicides! Will take it up in a future post though...

i was not much aware of the unwritten congress mission...do write more about it......
as for tulsi sing rajput...never heard of the guy before...does he affiliations with the congress

hmm vidarbha.....i agree that vidarbha has become a sort of microcosm for the plight of farmers in many parts of the country......

as for people not understanding the vidarbha issue....the only time people read about vidarbha is when someone commits suicide or some compensation announced...or worse when some ppl demand a seperate state.....cant expect people to really understand it.

the plight of the farmers is the root cause of a lot of problems which includes migration for instance....
i mean people talk about free market in business and stuff but shut their mouth when one talks of free market in agriculture....

will look forward to ur post on vidarbha....
