Sambhaji Brigade, one of the Maratha organizations demanding reservation for the community, had threatened to prevent Ashok Chavan from coming to Shivneri fort for the Shiv Jayanti celebration.
Even though the administration tried to ensure that law and order situation was in control, members of the ‘brigade' were able to reach the venue and disrupt the celebrations by pelting stones at a ministerial chopper.
After the incident Chavan declares that the Maratha reservation issue will be resolved within a week! Mr. Chavan… please show us you magic wand and say ‘abracdabra’…
