Neither is it a view of the anglicized minority which has lost touch with its roots... nor does it speak for the Marathi masses who may lack the “worldview”. Just a somewhere-in-between viewpoint… but a firm viewpoint indeed!

Raj.T next target is mobile companies..hope the roaming charges with so called mumbai state n maharashtra state is removed.it is so sick ,i study at bd somani in SoBo n stay at ambrnth.i have a "MUMBAI" card ,after i cross kalyan twrds amby they say i entrd maharashtra n roaming is chrgd.HoW dumb is that.
The top 4 metros have been defined as separate circles for special focus by the Dept of Telecom... Even people from Kolkata and Chennai will face this problem... what can the telcos do?
funnily enough, IDEA ran a banner campaign about 6 months ago "Mumbai and Maharashtra are now one!"... I think that one missed the MNS radar!
Just wanted to highlight that sometimes our politicos tend to be like Don Quixote and mistake such 'windmills' as 'giants that need to be slayed'!
It happens even when you open www.manase.org (MNS's official site)... Ha Ha Ha!
Vodafone in Mumbai has introduced a marathi option for their customer care service in addition to hindi and english. the interactive voice system is in marathi. but if u dial the required number to speak to a customer support person, you are directed to a non-marathi person and he/she politely tells you that the marathi section guys are very busy so you 'have to' speak to a hindi/english representative.
I wonder whether they even have a marathi section in existence.
Google atleast have option of Marathi on their home page.
Yahoo is absolutely unaware of existence of a language called Marathi. They recognize only Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Malyalam, Kannada, Telugu and Punjabi.
It is foolish to ignore Marathi in web world, since Maharashtra has 40% of internet connections and 35% of PCs in India.
I have sent many reminders to them in this regard, but they are waiting for a political agitation..!!
Not only vodafone, many other organizations do this trick. I had same exp. with SBI card. SBI card calls diverts to call center in Delhi, obviously they will never have a Marathi option in reality.However we have to insist on marathi communication and report complaint every time.
Marathi Manoos is one of the fatalistic species in India today ...
