A blog that captures the happenings in Maharashtra and rest of the Marathi World (Bruhanmaharashtra) through the eyes of a 3M – Madhyamvargiya Marathi Manoos (Middleclass Marathi Man). Neither is it a view of the anglicized minority which has lost touch with its roots... nor does it speak for the Marathi masses who may lack the “worldview”. Just a somewhere-in-between viewpoint… but a firm viewpoint indeed!

Raj Thackeray's MNS invites Mumbaikars for a March to protest CST Riots
3M is pleased to see that this letter by Raj Thackeray is bereft of any Anti-Muslim rhetoric... but strongly condemns Maharashtra Administration and Police chief for emasculating the Police force! Surprisingly, the original champion of Hindutva is doing nothing except writing fiery articles in Samanaa!
Today's Navakaal Newspaper mentions that the police force at large is unhappy about the way they have been treated and hence their family members are going to participate in the MNS morcha in a big way on 21st August 2012! The morcha (March) will start from Girgaon Choupati at 12 noon and will end at Azad Maidan. The Maharashtra administration is reluctant to give permission for this event as 'it may cause trouble in the city'!
The Video below clearly shows that Police Commissioner Arup Pattnaik is dissuading his juniors from taking action against the rioters!

Thackeray vs Thackeray
It was an unprecedented event in Mumbai on 13 February 2012, two Thackeray Maha rallies at the same time! It was the last night before the campaign period ends and both parties had pulled out all stops to dazzle Marathi Manoos in Mumbai and beyond. Even news channels had a harrowing time deciding which speech to telecast. While Star Majha gave a panoramic view from Worli, other channels were more inclined to show what Thackeray Sr had to say. For those who missed the action, you can watch these two videos courtesy Star Majha.
In his latest speech, Raj Thackeray fired the first salvo from Jamboree Maidan in Worli... While Balasaheb gave it back with equal gusto at BKC MMRDA Ground in presence of Gopinath Munde of BJP and Ramdas Athavale of RPI... not to forget Uddhav & Aditya Thackeray (Both looking extremely nervous). While nephew's speech emphasised on the issues related to BMC elections and welfare of the city, Uncle stuck to his below-the-belt double entendre style. Raj clearly proved that he has Version 2.0 of his uncle's "Thakari Shaili"... without the "Shivral Bhasha"!

Both spoke of 'walking the extra mile'... so is this laying of foundation for a post election tie-up?

MNS campaign
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena television campaign for the forthcoming BMC elections is focused and impactful as compared the singsong campaigns of Shiv Sena and NCP-Congress... But is marred by cheap graphics. Also 3M feels that a voice over (preferably of Raj Thackeray's) that repeats what is written would have created stronger impact!
