A blog that captures the happenings in Maharashtra and rest of the Marathi World (Bruhanmaharashtra) through the eyes of a 3M – Madhyamvargiya Marathi Manoos (Middleclass Marathi Man). Neither is it a view of the anglicized minority which has lost touch with its roots... nor does it speak for the Marathi masses who may lack the “worldview”. Just a somewhere-in-between viewpoint… but a firm viewpoint indeed!
A friend invited 3M to write a post on his blog about the situation in Maharashtra during the “Marathi vs Bhaiyya” flashpoint… then he realized that unlike other states there is no English blog which puts forth the predicament of Marathi Manoos. Viola… “Ek Marathi Manoos’ was born!
3M studied in an English school and hence it’s easier to write in English… he does speak and read Marathi easily but is worried about his Ps and Qs while writing in his mother tongue ;-). U can call me a ‘born again Marathi’! Hope you appreciate the spirit of the blog!
