.VL Manjul (Former Librarian of Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute) has started ‘Marathi Manuscripts Centre’ which plans to put 2200 rare manuscripts online… and some of them are over 5 centuries old! On the other hand, University of Mumbai has launched ‘Comprehensive Preservation Programme' with financial support from TCS, under which over 300 manuscripts and maps will be available on a CD... for researchers and enthusiasts.
