The annual Shiv Sena Vijayadashmi Rally was designed to be seen as baton passing from Thackeray Sr. to Uddhav Thackeray. This is the first time Uddhav has spoken at this annual event. Sadly, he had to continuously reassure the Shiv Sainiks that he is aggressive and a “Mard”! This actually shows his lack of conviction in himself. His remark that people are here to listen to him only because he was “Uddhav BALASAHEB Thackeray” was the icing on the cake.
One thing was obvious… Balasaheb’s health seems to be fast deteriorating… and getting him to address the rally in this condition clearly shows Uddhav’s desperation. In addition to that, Manohar Joshi was trying to prompt Balasaheb on what to say during the rally. This gives credence to Raj’s statement that others are using Thackeray Sr.’s name to run the party.
3M wonders – After a long time Balasaheb welcomed the audience as “Mazhya Marathi Bandhavano” and not “Mazhya Hindu Bandhavano”… This shows that Shiv Sena is forced into a corner by Raj Thackeray to use the Marathi card. In fact the whole rally looked like it was in response to Raj’s May rally at the same venue. This only reinforces 3M’s Prediction that in the post Balasaheb scenario Raj will usurp the Sena throne.
just went through ur blogs...interesting and informative....unbiased ...though quite pro Raj i must say..nevertheless i ve book marked ur blog......keep writing...
ReplyDeleteThanks for ur views... that will keep me going for sometime!
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I am not very pro-anybody... Even slammed MNS in a few posts... Just that I have been speaking to a lot of people and I see a majority of Marathi Janta gravitating towards Raj... this is reflected in my blog.
Keep watching this place and you wont be disappointed!
yaah .. maybe the first impression comes upon without solid reasoning..........but i also called ur blogs unbiased.....which is something very difficult to find in the routine opinions........u know my problem is what...that people outside the state of maharashtra and even fellow maharashtrians refer to it as the state of the thackereys and pawars but not as the state of late Vijay tendulkar, P Sainath and Anna Hazara and numerous other contemporaries who are far more illustrious than them. Its really a pity ..and the media is to be blamed for that.. but i guess that happens to everystate....UP, Bihar, Tamil Nadu..
ReplyDeletekeep writing and ill keep reading....
p.s by the way ull be surprised to know that im a maharashtrian and my mother tongue is hindi....genrally put im a bhaiyya...
