Analysis
Analysis
- Balasaheb Thackeray - Sharad Pawar Khokho continues for the top post. Pawar’s acceptance of Manmohan Singh’s candidature as PM has weakened his position. Also he has succumbed to the bullying tactics of Udayanraje Bhosale of Satara.
- Inability of Gopinath Munde to get a ticket for his niece (Poonam Mahajan) has pulled him down by one rank while Chagan Bhujbal has acquired more बळ (Strength) by getting a LS ticket for his nephew (Sameer) by keeping aside all the Maratha claimants.
- A variety of factors have ensured that Narayan Rane is back in the Top 10 Hall of Fame – Son Nitesh has got the Congress LS ticket, Better say in LS election strategy etc.
- Rane’s ascendancy has pushed Nitin Gadkari and Ajitdada Pawar on the lower rungs of the power ladder.
- Not much change in the lower ranks but the scenario can change rapidly after the polls!
